With roots dating back to 1993, Designs Signage Solutions began as a small venture with a big vision. From day one, our mission has been to elevate brands through exceptional signage and graphics. With hard work and a commitment to customer satisfaction, we've steadily grown and built a loyal clientele across the UK. Today, we're proud to have played a part in transforming countless businesses into recognizable landmarks.
After serving an apprenticeship Rob decided to 'go it alone' in 1993 providing a ticket writing service for a national DIY chain, originally working remotely from his car providing an on-site service.
In 1998 investment was made into vinyl cutting equipment and the first unit location within the Louis Pearlman Centre, Hessle Road also creating the first landline telephone number 221278...
The business grew steadily within the Louis Pearlman Centre 'started unit' but with the inability to apply vehicle graphics inside the move was made to Craven Street North in to a larger unit and a shop front presence, a lot of customers new and old remember the company from 'under the arches' off Holderness road...
With increase in demand a further move was made to the Citadel Trading Park, this enabled the company to employ the first member of staff and increase the workforce of which a few still remain with the company today.
The larger facility provided dedicated areas for manufacture and graphic application assisting in obtaining larger contracts.
After successfully being awarded the contract to supply and install all graphics and signage at the KC Stadium, Hull further expansion was required relocating to Burma Drive. The 5000 sq.ft premise was a key factor in the growth of the company in staffing levels, equipment and workload. Experiencing various sites through expansion the decision was made to establish a base within the city.
After research, land was acquired on Sutton Fields to commence the construction of our purpose built premise on Hamburg Road. The business settled in quickly to its new 'home' and has continued to grow. 20 years on from 1993 it is of credit to the staff, customers and suppliers which have all played their part in achievements of DeSigns.
As we celebrate over 30 years in business, our focus remains on pioneering new technologies, attracting top talent, and maintaining strong client partnerships. The past 5 years have positioned us for even greater things ahead.
